Last Minute Shopping

My mom was visited yesterday my not even half of her family but that is still a group. 😊 It was such a joy to see and talk with siblings and especially their kids. My nieces and nephews whom, I really don't know well, (and vice versa) are an exceptional lot. My kids included. They all seem to have done extremely well in life and are just, NICE people. What a gift! I am so happy I chose to come here before my trip. I was so caught up in the afternoon that I had entirely forgotten about why I was in California. Any anxiety about the traiI has disappeared . Yesterday morning, I threw my pack on and hiked to the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. It was a quick 10 mile walk that brought back a lot of memories of time spent up there as a kid. It was funny to imagine that I'll be up there in a couple of weeks, for REAL !
