Winter, all over Again!

I haven't been able to hike, at all, since last week. It snowed for a few days here and much more where I've been working out. So much so, that I would not dare go up in elevation w/o full winter gear and snowshoes. I don't know if I'll get out before I leave New Mexico on the 8th of May. I'll really miss this place but will return next winter if all goes well.( I really miss x-country skiing and want to learn snowboarding!)
I have my last Dr. appointment this Friday just as a reassurance all is well before I get on th real trail. Not much else to say except that the news article is now all over the country being distributed and shared by different organizations. Thanks to the CCF (Crohn's and Colitis Foundation), the PCTA (Pacific Crest Trail Association and other news services, family and friends. Five months is a good chunk of time and I hope we can raise a good amount of funding for CCF. (In case you're wondering, I'm not financially benefiting from any of this. So far, I have bought all of my own gear, food and travel-lodging money. Folks can help by purchasing or donating gear I still need on the "How you can Help" box on this site. If I have to, I'll do it myself but believe me, I am anything but financially stable:)
Thanks again everyone and I'll write again soon!
